When you contact us here are some terminology you can used to help us better understand your item when giving you a quote over email.

Like New

Your equipment is in pristine shape as if you had just purchased it. Even if you don’t have the original packaging, the item is still regarded as ‘Like New.’

Excellent

The item should be close to ‘Like New,’ although there may be some minor cosmetic flaws that reduce its rating.

  • Cameras – Should have no marks on the LCD screen
  • Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements or dust within the lens.

Very Good

Your equipment is not quite excellent, but it is far too good to be classified as good. The paintwork on your item may show some cosmetic damage.

  • Cameras – The LCD screen may have small signs of wear that do not affect its display.
  • Lenses – The mount of the lens will start to show signs of wear.

Good

Cosmetic wear is becoming more visible on the equipment.

  • Cameras – LCD screen may have scratches or wear that is starting to affect the display.
  • Lenses – May have slight dust inside that does not affect images. The mount shows signs of use.

Well Used

Your equipment will be displaying severe wear. The paintwork will wear off in huge sections, revealing the metal body.

  • Cameras – LCD screen is heavily worn either by de-lamination or has scratches to it. Rubber grips are starting to come away from the body.
  • Lenses – The lens has dust inside that may affect images. The rubber zoom/focus ring is coming away from the barrel of the lens.

Got my first 35mm photographic film camera from here: Works great.
Accidental damage to dslr camera lens: Got it repaired
… More quickly at a fair price and it was better than new.
Seeing their camera collection, lens, (including Polaroids and older film cameras), equipment is also enough to make camera lover feel like a 'kid in candy store".
Highly recommended for anyone into photography or film-making.

Brilliant service and advice. I’m a newbie to photography and Owen let me exchange a lens where I had bought the wrong type … More for my needs. No hard sales tactics, listened to me patiently without being condescending which as a newbie was so helpful and gave me confidence in what I was asking for. Thank you!

Brilliant service. I needed two additional Hahnel speedlights at short notice. The Nikon fit kits were out of stock. I … More explained the urgency to Owen and he went out of his way to ensure that I knew how the order was progressing. We agreed that I would collect from the shop, which I did - with 24 hours to spare! Excellent.
