Join one of the Wildlife Photography Workshops at the Wildlife Trust’s Summer Leys on Saturday 21st May.
Hosted by Canon and Campkins Cameras, photography enthusiasts of all skill levels will have the chance to get their hands on Canon cameras and lenses within the wonderful surroundings of Summer Leys.
May presents a perfect opportunity to put a variety of Canon lenses to the test – from the telephoto RF 600mm F/4L to capture the scurrying young of breeding birds such as the Oystercatcher and Lapwing, to the RF 100mm F2.8L Macro for intricate, vivid detail of damselflies and dragonflies and much more besides.
Walking Sessions
There are two walks during the day, each lasting approximately 2 hours. Canon Ambassador, Oliver Wright, and a member of the Wildlife Trust will lead attendees on a nature walk around the site with practical hints and tips for choosing the right equipment and set up for stunning nature photography.
Canon experts will be on hand in one of the site’s hides throughout the day to showcase a selection of DSLR and Mirrorless cameras, including the renowned Canon R-System, along with a wide selection of EF, EF-M and RF lenses perfect for wildlife and nature photography. You will also be able to spend time in another hide taking your own photography with your own equipment.
- Morning Walking Session: 10:15am – 12;30pm [£40 per person per ticket]
- Afternoon Walking Session: 1:15pm – 3:30pm [£40 per person per ticket]
Parking: Free parking is included in the ticket price. In the checkout please use the order notes and leave your number plate so we can register your car on the day.
Kit: Please bring your own cameras for the Walking Sessions.
Oliver Wright
Oliver has been a professional photographer since 2014 after a career in project management. He has always had a keen interest in nature. During the winter Oliver spends a lot of time guiding clients to view and photography aurora and arctic landscape/nature in Abisko, North Sweden. Then in the summer Oliver focuses on his own macro/nature projects and also guiding macro/nature workshops both in the UK and abroad. Oliver has worked closely with Canon since 2015 talking at some of the major events such as Bird Fair and the Photography Show.
