In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use the light painting techniques to add colour, depth, and interest to your night time images. You’ll discover how to use different light sources, such as flashlights and light painting tools, to create stunning light paintings that stand out against the dark background of the night sky.
Additionally, you’ll learn how to use live composite mode, a feature found in many Olympus cameras, to capture multiple exposures of a scene and combine them into a single, final image that showcases the best of each exposure. This technique is especially useful for capturing long exposures of the night sky while avoiding overexposure and noise.
David will guide you through the process, step by step, showing you how to set up your OM System and Olympus camera for light painting and live composite photography. You’ll get hands-on experience with both techniques, allowing you to practice and refine your skills as you go.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to create stunning light paintings and live composites that showcase the beauty of the night sky.
